Collaborative Learning College at CAMH
CAMH Education is seeking two (2) full-time, permanent, Program Engagement Co-Facilitators to work within the Collaborative Learning College at CAMH (CLC). Based in CAMH Education, the CLC is a low-barrier, strength-based, recovery-oriented education-focused program. In the CLC, all programming is either created or co-created, and facilitated or co-facilitated, by people with lived experience of receiving mental health or substance-use related services.
In these positions, the successful candidates will report to the manager of patient and family education and will contribute to the organization, co-development, and co-delivery of new educational programming, both online and in-person. Your role will involve working alongside Collaborative Learning College staff, CAMH Education staff, and others. In these roles the Co- Facilitators will co-develop and co-facilitate CLC courses while contributing to all aspects of the programming, from idea development to evaluation. In this role, especially when co-facilitating Collaborative Learning College courses, the successful candidates will be expected to use excellent communication skills and good judgement to create a positive learning environment that is supportive of, and safe for, students who identify as being in recovery from mental illness, substance use and/or addiction.
This position is located at 1025 Queen Street West in Toronto. This role will require occasional evening hours.
The successful candidates will have the equivalent of one year of experience working as a facilitator within a recovery college, a peer support setting, or another setting where lived experience as a recipient of mental health and/or addiction services is a core component. The co-facilitator will have lived experience as a recipient of mental health and/or substance use services. The ideal candidate will also bring experience in creating and delivering webinars, courses or workshops in an educational setting. Proven skills and aptitudes, typically gained through formal education or employment, in project coordination, combined with excellent verbal and written communications, are desirable. Further, experience working within a co-creation model, where power sharing and inclusion are integral to the success of the project, is highly desirable. In terms of your work style, while fundamentally being a collaborator within a team, the ideal candidate will be able to work independently. Lastly, the ability to work effectively in a wide range of settings, with individuals from diverse backgrounds, is essential. Experience in working with web-based technologies is a desirable skill in this position. Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language would be an asset.

Salary Range: $22.92 – $28.28 per hour
