Our Emergency Departments:

Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH)

Work in our modern Emergency Department (34,000 square feet) with capacity for 64 stretchers. The ED is divided into 6 separate zones that align patients according to their acuity and care requirements. Our ED has uniquely built in a 5 bed mental health unit and a dedicated DI cluster to better service our patients.

Milton District Hospital (MDH)

In October 2017, we opened the doors to our state-of-the-art MDH Expansion which was built to meet the increasing healthcare needs of one of Ontario’s fastest growing communities. The Expansion, which consisted of 330,000 square feet of new space, enlarged our ED by four times its previous size while also enhancing work environments for our healthcare teams.

This is what you’ll need to do it:

Halton Healthcare endeavors to hire individuals who are competent in their chosen profession and who exemplify our mission, vision and values of accountability, respect and compassion which guide our individual behaviours and attitudes.

  • Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current BCLS certification required at time of hire
  • Current ACLS certification required at time of hire and ongoing
  • Recent Emergency Department experience is an asset
  • Completion of an on-site sponsored course is required within one year of hire date
  • Successful completion of Canadian Emergency Nursing Certification Exam would be an asset
  • Successful completion of post-diploma Emergency courses, e.g. TNCC, ENPC, PALS, would be an asset
  • Basic ECG interpretation and 12 lead ECG application and interpretation preferred
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position
  • Satisfactory employment and attendance record required

Salary: ONA $33.23 to $47.57 per hour
