Halton Healthcare has learned of an email scam offering positions at Halton Healthcare for Customer Service Representative roles and requiring the setup of a TeleGram account. Halton Healthcare is warning individuals that these emails are fraudulent. Halton Healthcare does not send unsolicited emails requiring a candidate to setup a TeleGram account as part of the application process, either directly or through an agency. This is what you will be doing:

This position works closely with the HR Advisor, Recruitment & HR Operations to support the full-life cycle recruitment process for a designated portfolio from job requisition to on boarding & orientation.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Managing the job posting process
  • Assisting in managing candidate activity in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Coordinating the internal recruitment process (i.e. reviewing internal resumes, assessing for eligibility, calculating seniority and sending resumes to hiring managers).
  • Answering general inquiries from external and internal applicants
  • Facilitating the reference / background checking process
  • Maintaining new hire / orientation tracking and working with Organizational Development to ensure a smooth hand off prior to orientation
  • Updating the Vacancy Summary report
  • Administering clerical testing as part of the recruitment process
  • Generating reports to our Union partners on a monthly basis

Manage the processing and follow up of new hire and internal transfer documentation including:      

  • Generating internal transfer letters
  • Receiving and validating candidate and / or employee information (ie. educations, credentials, licensing)
  • Following up on outstanding documents required for the new hire or employee file
  • Preparing the new hire employee file in accordance with an outlined checklist
  • Maintaining the documentation tracking log between Recruitment & Total Rewards
  • Managing hand-off process with our Total Rewards team for system processing
  • Assisting with special projects as needed
  • Assist with additional recruiting and sourcing activities as directed. 

This position is highly administrative with accuracy and attention to detail being of paramount importance. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing requests in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

  • University Degree or College Diploma specializing in Human Resources required
  • Previous experience in a similar capacity in a Human Resources Department an asset, hospital setting preferred
  • Working knowledge of relevant Human Resources/Rights Legislation required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proven attention to detail and accuracy a must
  • Experience working in a unionized environment is preferred
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and HRIS databases an asset
  • Experience in working effectively in a fast-paced, extremely busy environment
  • Superior customer relationship skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Good judgment and the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Able to represent the organization in a professional manner
  • Self-directed and able to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Advanced social media skills an asset
