Altum Health is a department within the University Health Network with over 280 employees across 11 regional sites (Toronto, Cambridge, Barrie, Hamilton, Sudbury, Ottawa, Oakville, Ajax, Mississauga, and Vaughan). We offer a full continuum of prevention, rehabilitation, and health care services to third party payors and individuals, including the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), employers, and insurers. UHN Altum Health is the largest provider of WSIB Specialty Programs in the province of Ontario.

UHN Altum Health is seeking an experienced KINESIOLOGIST with knowledge, skills, and abilities in rehabilitation and return to work of injured workers, to work within the Functional Pain Program and Musculoskeletal Program as part of a multidisciplinary team. The principal responsibilities include: provision of clinical care (participation in team treatment planning, implementation and evaluation; group supervision; work simulation circuits; functional testing and restoration; gym and exercise programs), education, quality/administrative activities (safety, equipment and inventory management) and other duties consistent with the job classification, as required. An approach including both physical and psychosocial interventions is integral. Strong communication, teamwork and service excellence skills are important. We prefer candidates with at minimum one-year experience specific to this job.

QUALIFICATIONS
o Completion of a Bachelor Degree in Kinesiology from a recognized education facility
o Current registration and certification with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario
o Two (2) years related experience in the treatment of clients/patients with work related injuries, MVA and/or experience in the third party health care system
o FAE/Return to work planning/Job Site Assessment skills preferred
o WorkWell Isernhagen certification preferred
o Excellent interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills
o Demonstrates appropriate and effective written, oral, and nonverbal communication skills
o Ability to provide group education sessions and lead small group learning
o Compliance with confidentiality requirements
o Exercise initiative and good judgement with ability to multi-task
o Knowledge of applicable legislative, UHN and/or departmental policies
