We are looking for a passionate and collaborative Jr. Copywriter to help build The Princess Margaret brand in the GTA, across Canada, and globally.
You will help to support the creative vision and exceptional execution of work by our Creative Services department. In addition to being a self-motivated and dedicated wordsmith, you will have a strong desire to join one of the top fundraising teams in Canada.

About the Role
The Jr. Copywriter will report to the Creative Director and work with the Creative Services team to support the vision for the creative output of the department as well as support the vision of the Foundation. Balancing creative thinking and writing with interpersonal skills, you understand that there’s a line between creative expression and reinforcing Foundation goals. Most importantly, you are driven by a passion for crafting the most effective, emotive and persuasive messaging in any medium. 

You will:
  • Have a passion for creative storytelling that delivers on marketing objectives
  • Look forward to the opportunity to work with and learn from fellow copywriters
  • Ensure copy tone and style are consistent with visual tone and style
  • Join in and actively contribute to group brainstorming sessions
  • Be able to present and defend your work
  • Maintain high standards of copywriting and exercise quality control
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Be open to interviewing patients, researchers and doctors in order to develop storylines

You have:
  • 2+ years’ experience as a copywriter at an agency or on an in-house creative team
  • Exceptional writing skills, including experience writing to a range of audiences in various styles
  • A keen enthusiasm for and understanding of writing persuasively for digital mediums
  • An understanding of marketing and advertising principles
  • A creative mind with the ability to brainstorm and ideate on your own and with a team
  • The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively deliver on diverse writing demands
  • Good presentation skills with the ability to clearly and articulately explain your rationale
