The ODPRN has expertise in generating real world evidence related to the utilization, outcomes, safety, effectiveness, and costs of drugs in Ontario. The ODPRN’s work has informed decisions related to system efficiency, quality of care, and health outcomes at regional, provincial, national, and international levels. The ODPRN, is currently looking for a permanent full-time Research Coordinator I to provide research, administrative and organizational support to the team. The Research Coordinator I will assist the team with research, knowledge translation and engagement activities, provide support to the ODPRN’s Student Training Program, and provide general administrative assistance to the ODPRN. This role will require the successful candidate to have strong organizational and communication skills, and will offer a challenging and rewarding research experience. Duties & Responsibilities: Knowledge translation and engagement: - Contributes to the development and execution of knowledge translation and stakeholder engagement plans. This will include:
- Developing public and stakeholder communication materials (e.g. newsletters; dissemination materials)
- Maintaining targeted knowledge user contact lists for upcoming reports, research and initiatives
- Maintaining social media accounts and generate monthly social media and website analytics reports
- Managing updates on ODPRN website
- Presents research related information when necessary
Research: - Assists in the initiation of new research, including REB applications, privacy and project approvals and setting project goals
- Conducts literature searches
- Assists in the interpretation and visualization of analytical results
- Supports quality assurance activities
- Monitors and tracks the progress of projects
Administrative: - Schedules meetings, including the preparation and distribution of agendas prior to meetings, and minutes following meetings, as required
- Assist with expense tracking and the processing of invoices and budget management
- Tracks project hours for the team
- Provides administrative and organizational support to the ODPRN’s Student Training Program
- Assists the Program Director with administrative activities, as needed
Qualifications: - Undergraduate Degree and 2 years of relevant experience, OR demonstrable equivalent combination of specialized education and experience.
- Excellent attention to detail and proven ability to learn new skills.
- Superior organizational skills to manage multiple projects in a timely manner and flexibility to adapt to changing workload.
- Excellent communication skills for diverse range of stakeholders.
- Professionalism and self-motivation
- Good personal and program time/detail management skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, and Zoom.
- Previous experience with research administration is an asset.
